What is the Sunday Funday Grocery Run Service?
The Sunday Funday Grocery Run is a scheduled freight flight from Owls Head to Matinicus, Criehaven, North Haven, Vinalhaven and Islesboro, operated by Penobscot Island Air.
PIA will make free in-town pickup runs to:
Rockland Hannaford
Jess's Market
Good Tern Co-op
as well as other vendors upon request, if able.
How to Order:
GOOD TERN CO-OP: Place your orders by noon of Friday via the order form above. Penobscot Island Air picks up from Good Tern on Sundays at approximately 11am.

Please make sure that you call PIA Dispatch at 207.596.7500 to let them know you’ve placed an order with Good Tern Co-op , and give them your information (including your name, address including island, telephone number, and payment info).
Contact dispatch for any other pickups. Note that pickup requests to PIA must be called in before 11am on Sundays, so the crew can pick up the orders.
PIA will call you with the time of delivery to your island. If you are not at the airstrip upon our arrival, the orders will be left at the airstrip.
If the weather is not flyable, groceries and freight will be delivered on the next flyable day. The orders will be in refrigerator and or freezer when needed.

Pricing:
Flat rate: $15 per banana box
$0.5 dollars per pound for any loose items
Free in-town pickups (Rockland)
Out-of-town pickups are at $25 per hour.
