Join Clinical Herbalist Amie Daniels for an Introductory Energetic Herbalism Workshop at Hole In The Wall Bagels

Join us at Hole In The Wall Bagels on Saturday, September 13th, from 3:00 - 4:30pm for an introductory workshop about Energetic Herbalism.

This Energetic Herbalism Workshop will help individuals understand the different qualities of medicinal herbs and will introduce Ayurvedic doshas, or an individual’s constitution, to help determine which herbs are best matched with your body type.

There will be a voluntary taste testing of some herbs in tea and tincture form at the end of the workshop.

Amie says, “Learning about medicinal herbs has helped me to learn more about my body and my health. I love sharing this information with others because it is magical and empowering - everyone should know about how healing plants can be!”

Energetic Herbalism is a method used by herbalists in which a medicinal herb or plant is matched to an individual. The energetic qualities of herbs can be dry/moist, cool/warm, and relaxing/toning. These same qualities apply to a person’s body as well, which is known as your constitution, or your “dosha” in Ayurveda. For example, if an individual’s constitution is generally dry and hot, then an herbalist will recommend herbs that are moistening and cooling. If an individual’s constitution is moist and relaxed, an herbalist will recommend herbs that are drying and toning. In this workshop, we will discuss the energetics of some medicinal herbs as well as discover what our primary constitution is.
