Poetry & Art IV,A Mail In Exhibition *

April 2015

All Poetry Lovers, Art Lovers, Good Tern Members and Friends
are invited to send a postcard or something in an envelope to be in our April gallery exhibition

Poetry & Art IV,A Mail In Exhibition

April is National Poetry Month, and the Rockland Public Library, area bookstores and other venues are offering special exhibitions and events in honor of this. Since the past years’ Good Tern exhibitions and related events were so well received, I thought it would be fun and interesting to have an exhibition of poetry and art again this year.

Your poetry, visual art about poetry, drawings inspired by poetry, poems inspired by sculptures,

poems by artists, visual art by poets,

anything that fits on a postcard.

I’d like to invite anyone of any age who is interested to submit a piece or two or more for the exhibition.

Lois Anne, Curator

Poetry & Art IV, A Mail In Exhibition

Submission Guidelines:

1 – Make a poem, painting, drawing, collage, or other creation on a postcard

relating to the theme of poetry & art.

2 – Entries must be received by March 31, 2015.

3 – Send to: Lois Anne, Curator of Poetry & Art, PO Box 1661, Rockland ME 04841

*For a Mail Art Exhibition, each participant sends a piece on a postcard or in an envelope. The work is usually not returned. However, for three weeks after the exhibition ends, we will have the pieces available for you to pick up at the Good Tern [or if you’re out of the area, send an SASE].

Artist Reception & Wine Tasting

Fancy Flight at the Taj Hotel

There is a peace among the noise and a peculiar comfort in no privacy that I hope people will take away from these photographs” says the artist.  Indian-themed refreshments will be served, as well as wine from Tree Spirits.
